The First Real Time Speech Coach App Credible Launches on Apple App Store

Credible Speech Coach App Eliminate Filler Words on Apple App Store iOS Only

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

New York, NY – April 8, 2024 – Credible: Speech Coach, a groundbreaking app designed to eliminate filler words from everyday speech, is now available for download on the Apple App Store. Developed by Campbell Conard, a senior at the University of Chicago, Credible aims to empower young professionals, particularly young women, to enhance their speaking skills for interviews, internships, and early career roles.

Conard was inspired to create Credible after becoming aware of her own frequent use of filler words such as ‘like’ and ‘um’ and seeing how this habit could undermine the perception of her professionalism and her peers back from their desired career. “I knew that saying “like” all the time made people sound less intelligent and less capable than they actually are. I wanted to create an app that would help them break this habit and achieve their full potential,” explained Conard.

Credible stands out from other speech improvement apps as the only mobile application with real-time feedback. The app listens to the user’s speech and sends a discreet alert to their phone or watch whenever a filler word is detected, fostering immediate awareness and correction of speech patterns. This awareness based training is the only way to break the habit and is a strategy used by Toastmasters International, the public speaking organization.

The technological backbone of Credible includes multiple custom machine-learning models that not only detect filler words, sounds, and phrases, but also differentiate the user’s voice from others in the conversation, ensuring feedback is both relevant and accurate. “Credible is like having a personal speech coach in your pocket, all the time,” Conard stated. “It’s the perfect tool for anyone who wants to improve their communication skills and make a better impression.”

Credible is now available for iOS users on the Apple App Store, providing an accessible solution for enhancing speech clarity and confidence.
